Custom Dining Room Table | Deerfield
Project Summary:
Typically, we feature Deerfield bathroom or kitchen remodels, but that's not all we do! For this project recap, we're going to share a Deerfield dinning room remodel, complete with a custom dining room table and chair set. Our clients wanted a fresh an updated look for their old, dated dining room. The original dining room space was more indicative of a collection of old hand-me-downs than a space that reflected a cohesive style - let alone their own tastes.
To bring it into the modern era, we got rid of the old and added the new, including a custom dining room table - the ultimate way to have the style you want. We eliminated the chair rail accent along the walls and the wallpaper. This made the room look more sleek. The new space feels more spacious and inviting, and the streamlined, low-back chairs are in line with modern dining room design trends.
Custom Dining Room Table:
The idea behind the design was to have the onyx appear as if it were floating in space. We achieved this by placing it on a ¾-inch finished piece of walnut set in slightly from the quartzite top. The pedestal for their custom contemporary dining room table is a walnut wood that our custom cabinet manufacturers provide in any size, shape or color. The base is secured to the floor for safety since the quartzite counter/table top is so heavy. The overall dimensions of the table are 42- x 108-inches.
Counter Tops:
¾-inch Quartzite was used for the dining room table top. It is vein cut and each piece is unique and exotic. Quartzite is not the same product as quartz. It is a durable option for a dining room table and is available in large slabs for applications like this.
Flooring:
The clients selected 3.25-inch Espresso stained Bamboo flooring. Bamboo flooring is an excellent option if you are interested in sustainable design. It comes pre-finished so you don’t have to deal with the smell in your house. This means your family can remain in place for the duration of the flooring installation process.
Lighting:
The chandelier is 42-inches long, centered over the table and installed on a dimmer so you can control the lighting when you're dining.
